Glacé Spa Clay Signature Treatments Were Developed For Spa Professionals To Maximize Their Use Of Glacial Marine Clay And Its Benefits To The Skin

Glacé Spa Clay Powder is a natural way to cleanse, purify, exfoliate, and heal your skin without the use of harsh chemicals.

Experience a world of creativity with so many ways to use Glacé Spa Clay in your spa or salon. Glacé Spa Clay comes in a pouch as a dried powder. This dried powder requires you to mix the powder with water or into existing products. This allows you to use fresh clay powder for every treatment, every time. You can customize your clay experience and use it for the skin, hair, body, and nails.

Clay therapy has been used in Europe to help with a variety of ailments related to the musculoskeletal system, including skin issues, arthritis, sports injuries, and advanced joint pain.  In North America, clay is used for cosmetic and wellness benefits as we are not allowed to use clay medically. It is believed that the beneficial microorganisms in the clay produce substances that have a proven anti-inflammatory effect on the body.

Glacé Spa Clay can be used in body treatments to help to detoxify the skin and stimulate circulation as well as provide a relaxing sensation. The clay is applied to the body in a thick layer and then wrapped with a plastic sheet to seal the benefits onto the skin.

Application of Glacé Spa Clay

Glacé Spa Clay will be prepared in the pouches. There will be one pouch for the lower body and one pouch for the upper body. Warm up the mud by placing the pouches into warm water. Then mix it well. To keep it warm for the duration of the treatment, leave it in the warm water bath, wrap it with a towel, or place it in an insulated bag. Before using it, be sure to test the temperature by applying part of  the mixture to the back of your hand.

Apply the mud all over your client’s clean, moist skin using either a clean, new brush or your clean hands. Avoid any open wounds. Wait for the mud to dry. If applying it as a body mask, wait about 10 to 15 minutes until it’s dry. (Depending on humidity levels, it will vary.) Or, if you are doing a wrap, first wrap your client in a plastic sheet and then add a warm clean blanket. You can turn on the warmer if you have that feature on the table. Have the client rest for 20 minutes. Once the session is complete, rinse the mud off using the in-room shower. If the client is on a wet table rinse the clay from the body.  Rinse well with warm water. No need to use soap afterward but feel free to use a moisturizer, if desired.
